About Us
The City Assessment Department, as provided for in Republic Act No. 7160, otherwise known as the Local Government Code of 1991, is mandated to:
- Ensure that all laws and policies governing the appraisal and assessment of real properties for taxation purposes are fairly, accurately, effectively and properly executed;
- Prepare, establish, install and maintain a systematic method of real property assessment, identification, accounting, tax mapping and record administration;

- Renders technical review of Barangay Budgets for final consideration of the City Council in accordance with RA 7160;
- Renders monthly status reports to the City Project Monitoring and Evaluation Committee (CPMEC) and other line agencies;
- Attends to Local Finance Committee concerns as member; and
- Provides technical secretariat services to the Local School Board.

As per Ordinance No. 7140-2000, Section 1. – The City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) is hereby created with the following power, duties, function and responsibilities, in the year 2002, an Ordinance No. 8140-2002 changing the official title of the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) to City Local Environment and Natural Resources Office (CLENRO) and for this purpose amending ordinance no. 7140-2000, creating City Environment and Natural Resources Office, prescribing its powers, duties, functions and responsibilities and for other purposes.

The Cagayan de Oro Technical Vocational Institute (CDOTVI) shall undertake center-based and community-based skills and livelihood trainings through technical-vocational and skills development programs for students coming from low-income families, out-of-school youth, and members of the marginalized sectors. CDOTVI will play a crucial role in helping its trainees become productive, self-reliant, and transformed into middle-level skilled labor force and meet the demands of both the local and global labor markets, resulting in the enhancement of the social and economic development in the locality and the neighboring areas, as well as for their personal growth and families’ sustenance. Vision: A premier LGU-led skills development and training hub, primed to grow into a higher education institution, that produces needs-responsive, globally competitive and technology-driven graduates who can work towards a sustainable environment and an improved quality of life.

- CDOTVI shall offer school-based, Mobile Training Program (MTP), enterprise-based, community-based, entrepreneurial, technical, vocational education skills development curricula adopting the Unified TVET Programs Registration and Accreditation Systems (UTPRAS) of TESDA and the Senior High School Curriculum of the Department of Education (DepEd) and the standards of the Commission for Higher Education (CHED) for its ladderized degree courses. In addition, CDOTVI shall serve as Assessment Center and Training Methodology (TMI) Center for acquired competencies in technical-vocational skills to qualify and certify middle-level manpower for employment.
